Under the direction of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG), one of the world’s leading hoteliers, PEI prepared a detailed survey of one of Shanghai’s landmark properties and a feasibility assessment of its potential transformation into a five-star Mandarin Oriental property. Comprising the famed north tower (Peace Hotel), south tower (Palace Hotel) and a new site for annex facilities, the total project area exceeded 65,000 SQ.M and provided over 300 revamped suites, two ballrooms, a pool and health spa, expanded food and beverage outlets, and renovated administrative offices.
