Bank of China Heritage Building
As it entered 2017, its centennial year, the Bank engaged PEI to re-purpose and update its primary private banking facilities to meet the standards of its sophisticated clientele. PEI restored the elegant Art Deco banking hall design, lost for many years to a remodeling, to provide exclusive private banking services and retail banking facilities.

The primary transformation entailed a careful and authentic restoration of the banking hall, an impressive 2-storey art deco volume at the base of the 13-storey building. A meticulous effort was made to reconstruct the initial design with contemporary materials to breath new life and elegance into the facility.
